I'm Jan - a software engineer with a background in neuroscience and a habit of working on hard data problems.
My research was in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience: human and non-human primate electrophysiology, large complex datasets, extracting signal from noise.
Good training, it turns out, for production data infrastructure.
Currently at an AI cybersecurity startup, building the backend behind ML-powered threat detection - APIs, data models, processing pipelines, containerized deployments. Stack is primarily Python (FastAPI), Kubernetes, Docker, with some Rust on side projects.
